Westminster Bridge and The London Eye

When you leave Westminster Abby and make a sharp right, you can head over the Westminster Bridge to the world famous, London Eye. The Westminster Bridge was completed in 1750 and is famous for people leaving ‘lovers locks’ on the bridge. The bridge crosses the River Thames to the Borough of Lambeth where the London Eye is located. The Eye is Europe’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom. It was dedicated on December 31st 1999 as a celebration for the Millennium Festival. The architect on record is, Marks Barfield Architects.
